SNOWDONIA, WALES DATE

Group Photography Workshop
Max Attendees: 4
Places Available: 2

Meeting Point – Moel Siabod Café, Betws Y Coed 10 am.
After meeting and a short introduction we leave your parked cars and travel 3m to the first location.

Llyn Ogwen.
Llyn Ogwen provides an abundance of opportunities for shooting. We will explore the shoreline, the boat-house, and also the waterfalls. We will shoot the wooden bridge and more waterfalls and walk up to Cwm Idwal if conditions allow to shoot the hidden lake and views back down the valley. This area has two large mountains to use for background.

Lunch Break for 45 mins.
After lunch we will travel to other locations depending on weather and time. This may include, among others:

Fairy Glen
This is a ‘must do’ location for spectacular images and will work in any light. Getting down to the Glen is via steep steps so good footwear is essential. Once there the images it will offer are worth it.

Llynau Mymbyr
Located close to Llyn Ogwen it has views over the water with the famous Horse Shoe of Snowdon to shoot. With plenty of foreground, calm days will give stunning reflection images.

Llyn Padarn
The home of the iconic Lone Tree. It can be difficult to shoot at sunset/sunrise because of the queues. There are other places nearby to shoot, including Dolbadarn Castle.

Dinorwic Quarry.
A great location with plenty to explore, the disused quarry gives rugged images of the slate mountains and abandoned buildings. With views of the valley and lakes, it’s a great place even on a grey day, suiting the mood of the location.

Snowdonia is a stunning location which offers so much for photography. Due to having it's own micro-climate light can be different on both sides of the Snowdon Massif, so locations will vary according to conditions.
